Quotation Information.

Damp Guard Aust. provide quotations split into their many components. The attached blank quotation sheets will give you a much better indication of the considerations and problems that arise when quoting and carrying out the work.

It is Damp Guards primary consideration to make sure all work is carried out correctly, and as such, will complete all stages of the project or provide specifications where components of the project are completed by others.

Damp Guard provide a fixed price quotation for installing a new damp course. There is a minimum charge of $330- inc GST for up to 5m of damp course installed into a single brick wall. Beyond that, a charge per metre applies reducing as trhe extent of damp coursing increases.

Removal of skirting boards etc and any preparation works such as protection of floor coverings are charge out on a time basis.

Removal of plaster work is one of the great unknowns. Is the damp plaster thick or thin, soft or hard, is the damp higher in the wall than apparent, being hidden by patched plaster work, are there concealed pipes and cables and is access restricted or difficult? Who can tell? To this end we provide an estimate for this work when required. Otherwise the final charge is based on an hourly rate plus tipping costs if applicable.

Replastering is also impossible to accurately measure prior to removal of existing damp plaster. We therefore provide an estimate to the best of our ability, have the plasterers provide a firm quotation after the walls are prepared, or contract the plasterers on a day rate plus materials.

Skirting boards often need cleaning to remove glue and cut off old nails. Some boards may have rotted or be cracked, we again provided an estimate only and if required, employ a carpenter on an hourly basis only, plus materials and travel.
